Galeria Młociny is a modern shopping mall designed by the team of Warsaw architects Kuryłowicz & Associates. Built in Warsaw's Bielany district it was opened in May 2019. The multifunctional space of the building consists of number of services, shops, offices and entertainment places.
One of the shops located in the gallery, Yes Jewellery showroom, was glazed using Pilkington OptiView™ Protect OW T toughened and laminated glass, with high transparency and light transmission above 90%, perfectly suited for indoor glazing, with artificial lighting.
This neutral glass, with anti-reflective coating, reduces light reflection to approx. 2%. Thanks to such low reflectivity, the glazing is transparent and free of interference and distortion, and the objects exposed in the showroom - perfectly visible from every point and angle of view. In addition, Pilkington OptiView™ Protect OW T provides protection against acts of vandalism such as burglary or theft. While ordinary glass can be easily broken, laminated glass is more resistant to breakage. Thanks to the high sound insulation coefficient, it also provides excellent protection against noise. The glass coating is durable and resistant to abrasion, which makes the display windows easy to clean (e.g. from fingerprints or other dirt). An additional advantage is the fact that the glass can be supplied in large sizes, which greatly facilitated the work on the design of the showroom.
