The Forum Gdańsk shopping center (originally Forum Radunia) was established in 2018 in the historic places of Gdańsk trade – Targ Sienny and Targ Rakowy. Before the works began, there were railway tracks and remains of commercial pavilions from the 90s of the last century. The architectural form of the shopping center complex attracts attention with its modern design that blends seamlessly with the historic elements of the old buildings. The Radunia Canal flows along the main alley. The Forum space has been divided into three zones – The Boulevar, Modern Court and The Street. Each of them is distinguished by carefully selected solutions and details referring to different styles. Green areas cover 1/3 of the shopping center complex. In the area of over 2 hectares, 33,000 plants from 80 species were planted.
In one of the buildings of the Forum Gdańsk complex, highly efficient insulating glass units made of toughened and heat-soak tested Pilkington Suncool™ 66/33 THS high performance solar control glass and Pilkington Optilam™ OW 10,8 laminated safety glass, providing high level of natural light and good thermal comfort inside the building. To ensure the visual coherence of the façade, Pilkington Spandrel Glass Insulating Glass Units made of Pilkington Suncool™ 66/33 THS and Pilkington Optifloat™ Clear THS with ceramic enamel in RAL 7022 were used in the non-transparent parts.
