EARP Distribution

The Project

EARP Distribution founded in 1954 sells fresh meat to restaurants, hotels, and other institutions in the Greater Kansas City area. The company began selling meat products to McDonald’s in 1972 and later expanding to buns and various food products by 1975. In 1998, EARP Distribution began servicing Chipotle restaurants in the Kansas City area. As of 2009, EARP Distribution was servicing 418 McDonald’s and 56 Chipotle restaurants.

When building their new facility, EARP Distribution used a 1” insulated glass unit consisting of 6 mm Pilkington Solar-E™ EverGreen over 6 mm clear. Pilkington Solar-E™ EverGreen offers Earp Distribution good light transmittance, reduced heat gain, and optimized solar control.
