The third phase of the Virginia Tech FutureHAUS was debuted at the Kitchen & Bath Industry show in Las Vegas in January 2016.

This included a high-tech, futuristic bathroom featuring Pilkington MirroView™  for a smart mirror displays all controls for the bathroom along with Pilkington Optiwhite™ for the shower and counter tops. The Pilkington Optiwhtie™ in the shower walls was used to have a video projected on for anyone in the tub to be able to view.

FutureHAUS is an applied research project that combines students from the College of Architecture and Urban Studies and the College of Engineering with the goal of exploring new ways to build and incorporated futuristic and smart technologies into different areas of the home.
