La Totalità – Glass art in Turin, Italy

The Project
Made up of millions of glass elements, supported by a metal plate structure totally hidden from the eye, the work of the Athenian sculptor Varotsos has a spiral shape and reaches the remarkable height of 9 meters above the walkable surface.

Supplied by Pilkington Italia, the Pilkington Optifloat™ Clear 8 mm thick clear glass sheets, which the artist personally cut, shaped and assembled together, convey a strong dynamism and the idea of plastic and fluid movement.

In the artist's intentions, the work represents "the need to look into the future without losing what is behind, the synthesis we need today".

“La Totalità” was placed in the garden of the Renzo Piano’s skyscraper in Turin.
