The Hyatt Regency Chengdu hotel showcases over 750,000 square feet of Pilkington Optiwhite™. The building demonstrates the design flexibility of Pilkington Optiwhite™. The spandrel frit, applied to the second surface, eliminates light from entering the building. The clarity of the glass allows the true color of the ceramic frit to pass through the glass. The ceramic frit was supplied by Viracon.
The hotel features a mall at the base of the building. The building owner intends to develop other similar hotels matching this design.
