Other World Computing

The Project

The Other World Computing facility in Woodstock, IL utilizes sustainable design and construction materials. The facility was awarded the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, LEED® Platinum Certification by the US Green Building Council in April 2010.  Platinum is the highest achievable level of LEED® certification.

To correspond with the sustainable building design, Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ Grey was a natural choice for glazing.  Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ is a solar control Low-E product designed for buildings that require both solar control performance and the insulating benefits of a Low-E coating.

The facility is over 37,000 sq. ft. of sustainable office, warehouse and manufacturing space.  In addition to using solar control Low-E glass, the facility highlights technologies such as wind turbine renewable, hybrid solar lighting, reflective roof and a geothermal heat pump HVAC system.
