The new headquarters of this prestigious law firm is a spectacular glass building, a sign of identity of renowned architect Rafael de la Hoz.
Glass has transformed the façade from both an aesthetic and an energy efficiency point of view. The glass processor TVITEC supplied all the glazing in the building envelope, which, in addition to the high-performance glazing solutions, includes half a dozen large size panes that draw strong attention to the main facade.
Twelve Super Jumbo plates (12,000 mm x 3,210 mm) of 12 mm Pilkington Optiwhite™ extra clear glass have been drilled, toughened, heat soak tested and digitally printed with white patterns. Afterwards such plates have been laminated with a SentryGlas interlayer. They have been installed on the building to provide its façade resistance, security and sound insulation.
Pilkington Optiwhite™ is a very neutral float glass with a very low iron oxide content. Compared to traditional float glass, it guarantees excellent neutrality and superb colour rendering, without any alteration.
Thanks to its high light transmission properties and the absence of greenish tint, typical of clear float glass, Pilkington Optiwhite™ is perfect for applications with exposed glass edges or as substrates for screen-printed glass.
