Harris-Stowe State University

The Project

The Early Childhood Development and Parenting Center has been designed to make optimum use of natural light and overall energy use is 25 percent less than in a typically constructed building. More than 20 percent of building materials in the 47,885 sq ft structure are made from recycled material.

Around 9,000 sq ft of Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ Arctic Blue over Pilkington Energy Advantage™ was used for the insulating glass units at the Center, which is built around a central courtyard and features an all-glass façade.

The Harris Stowe project achieved LEED gold certification from the USGBC.
