LBJ Presidential Library

The Project

The LBJ Presidential Library is one of thirteen Presidential libraries administered by the National Archives and Records Administration, housing forty five million pages of historical documents.  The LBJ Presidential Library closed for renovation in December 2011, and reopened December 22, 2012 in honor of Lady Bird Johnson’s 100th birthday.

Pilkington OptiView™ anti-reflective glass was used throughout the museum during the renovation.  Pilkington OptiView™ anti-reflective glass combines two proprietary pyrolytic surfaces into a single laminated glass to minimize visible light reflectance to less than 2 percent, allowing more visible light to pass through.
