The diocesan and national library in Skara is one of Sweden's oldest libraries with roots in the Middle Ages. The library is a great meeting place in the middle of Skara where everyone is welcome.
The building has a glass roof in which high performance solar control and self-cleaning glass Pilkington Activ Suncool™ 50/25 was used. The glass combines excellent solar control with self-cleaning properties. The durable pyrolytic self-cleaning coating on the external glass surface reduces the need for manual cleaning and the solar control on surface #2 coating improves indoor comfort and reduces the need for cooling.
