Intercollegiate Centre for Education and Technology TECHNOPOLIS II, Wrocław, Poland

The Project
The Education and Technology Center is one of the two buildings that make up the innovative scientific complex of the Wrocław University of Technology, TECHNOPOLIS.

The facility stands out in terms of aesthetics and energy efficiency thanks to the Pilkington Profilit™ Slim Line THS K25/60/7 glass curtain wall. On the surface of this type of channel glass, a fine pattern is embossed in the form of narrow, regular lines, which gently diffuses the light and gives the glazing a subtle character.

A glass envelope covers part of the façade of the center, which includes the auditorium and seminar hall, offices, technical rooms and a staircase.

The designers used the same type of glass to finish the bicycle shelter belonging to the complex and adjacent to the building, combining it stylistically with the main building and giving it a coherent and uniform character.

The building houses the Faculty of Microsystem Electronics and Photonics of the Wrocław University of Technology.
