Indoor swimming pool, Jasło, Poland

The Project
The indoor swimming pool, which is part of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Jasło, was opened in July 2002.

The architecturally and technologically modern facility, designed by architects from the Team s.c. studio, is a complex that provides not only sports and recreation services, but also entertainment.

The facility includes a 25 m long sports swimming pool, a recreational swimming pool equipped with massages and water jets, a whirlpool and a spa tub. An undoubted attraction of this facility is the 105 m long downhill runway. Finnish saunas and a steam bath are also available for those using the swimming pool. The facility has stands and catering facilities with a consumption room and a view of the swimming pool hall.

The use of Pilkington Profilit™ channel glass in the construction of the swimming pool gave a very interesting aesthetic appearance of the facility. This product is ideal for large glazed areas where a number of requirements regarding thermal insulation, noise protection and sun protection must be met.

Double glazed channel glass system made of Pilkington Profilit™ K25/60/7 and Pilkington Profilit™ Plus 1,7 K25/60/7 with low-emissivity coating provided required thermal insulation. To provide required safety part of the glazing is equipped with wire inlay.
