Audi Terminal, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The Project
The largest Audi Terminal in Europe, designed by Eindhoven-based architectural studio Jakobs Architekten, was opened in Amsterdam at the end of 2012.

The exterior of the new Audi Terminal resembles an airport terminal. The inner doors resemble an inclined racetrack and refer to the Audi brand's racing past.

The Terminal, in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, has 2 floors and a floor area of 6200 m². The new terminal can accommodate 28 new and 70 Audi used cars. In addition, the new workshop has as many as 28 bridges.

Pilkington Nederland supplied for this project 900 m² of Pilkington Insulight™ Sun solar control insulated glass units made of Pilkington Suncool™ 70/40 high performance solar control glass. This product is particularly suitable for buildings where a lot of natural light is needed. Due to the glass low reflection, this high light transmission can be achieved. At the same time, the glass has a very neutral appearance.
