The Lilla Bommen business area is a well-known location in Gothenburg, close to the Göta River. Its maritime heritage is clear. The largest sailing ship ever built in the Nordic countries, the Barken Viking, has been moored at Lilla Bommen since 1951. There is a guest harbour, and the 82-storey building, commonly known as Läppstiftet, is a famous landmark. The Gothenburg Opera is located on the other side of the harbour basin.
The Lilla Bommen 3 property was built in 1989 and was given an additional floor about 10 years ago. The property has recently undergone a careful and sustainable renovation to adapt to future office requirements.
Pilkington Floatglas AB has supplied 500 m² of Pilkington Suncool Optilam™ Q 70 8,8 laminated solar control glass with superior performance. It has been processed into insulated glass units in combination with Pilkington Optiwhite™ extra clear glass and Pilkington Optitherm™ S3 T toughened low-emissivity glass by our processing site in Vetlanda.
The Pilkington Insulight™ Sun Triple insulated glass units provide high light transmission, good energy saving properties and a low reflective and neutral appearance.
After the renovation, the property has achieved GreenBuilding environmental certification from Sweden Green Building Council.
