Unia Art Residence, Lublin, Poland

The Project
Unia Art Residence is a multi-storey residential and commercial building with 191 apartments. Located on Racławickie Avenue, in the centre of Lublin's cultural, academic, and business life, the building fits in perfectly with modern architectural trends..

The simple geometric body of the building is dominated by glazing which, in addition to its aesthetic function, provides the interiors with excellent sunlight and, at the same time, a unique view of the nearby Theatre Square, the Saski Garden, the prestigious Racławicka Avenue and university campus.
From the upper floors, you can admire the panorama of Lublin, including the city's landmark – the Old Town. The building's finishes are made of fine and well-aged materials such as stone and architectural concrete, which are successfully used in modern construction and combine perfectly with glass to create a stunning effect.

The building is designed with semi-structural window joinery in aluminium profiles, with large areas of full height glazing from floor to ceiling. To reduce energy loss and provide comfortable interiors, energy-efficient insulated glass units have been installed using toughened Pilkington Suncool™ 66/33 T high performance solar control glass with low emissivity properties.

The substantial scale of the building was greatly reduced by splitting the main body into two sections. The division of the building has been used to accommodate panoramic lifts, further emphasising the unique visual relationship with the surroundings.

The entrance area and the lobby form a representative part of the building. The name of the building is carved in stone on the front wall, emphasising its elite character. The lobby and reception area have also been designed with great attention to detail. The stone floor, wall heights of up to three metres, and carefully selected lighting set a chic tone for the interior, making residents and their guests feel special from the moment they enter. However, restraint is a characteristic feature of the design as an expression of good taste and a sense of style. The lobby provides direct access to the ground floor dining facilities and communal areas such as swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym.
