The La Gare is a residential building designed by Lengkeek Architects, which has 95 flats and a car park at street level featuring Pilkington Profilit™ glazing. The car park has a semi-transparent Pilkington Profilit™ glass façade that plays with different shades of green, referencing the 'Green Heart' area. The façade is installed in double rows with intervals.
The Pilkington Profilit™ K25/60/7 16 Wired product range was selected, featuring green-tinted films in various shades. The bottom flanges of the channel glass are all cut at an angle and mounted in aluminium profiles with unequal legs and a setting of less than 100 degrees. The distances between the glass profiles have been precisely calculated to ensure adequate ventilation in the car park. The glazing was installed by D&O Bouwglas.
