Allegretto is a group of five apartment blocks situated in the Eko Park residential complex in Warsaw, near Pole Mokotowskie, designed by the renowned architectural practice Kuryłowicz+Architekci.
These low-rise buildings, which are five storeys high, are characterised by their interesting design, which features numerous balconies, loggias and terraces, as well as an original combination of finishing materials, including wood and glass.
Pilkington Profilit™ Amethyst K25/60/7 channel glass with a blue coating was used to glaze the stairwells in the Allegretto complex. The translucent but not transparent channel glass ensures that the circulation areas of the Allegretto are illuminated with soft, diffused light whilst guaranteeing privacy for residents and users.
In 2003, the Eko-Park A4 housing estate was nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award. In 2010, the Eko-Park housing estate was included in the list of the 20 most environmentally friendly developments in Europe.
