The façade of the residential complex on Inflancka Street in Warsaw was glazed with Pilkington Insulight™ Protect, which is made up of Pilkington Optifloat™ Clear T toughened glass and Pilkington Optilam™ Therm S3 laminated glass with a low-emissivity coating. This configuration ensures a high level of safety and thermal comfort inside the buildings. To maintain visual consistency, colour-matched Pilkington Spandrel Glass Enamelled was used in the opaque sections.
The stairwells of the housing development were glazed with Pilkington Insulight™ Protect insulated glass units combining Pilkington Optifloat™ Clear T toughened glass and low-emissivity toughened glass. In contrast, the storefronts of the commercial units on the ground floor were fitted with Pilkington Insulight™ Protect insulated glass units containing Pilkington Optilam™ laminated glass and Pilkington Optilam™ Therm S3 with a low-emissivity coating. Upon impact, the laminated glass either remains intact or shatters safely without causing injury; meanwhile, the low-emissivity coating helps to achieve high thermal insulation. This configuration provides a high level of safety and protection against attacks on the ground floor of the complex while optimising operating costs and providing thermal comfort for the commercial spaces.
The interior doors of the buildings are made of Pilkington Optilam™ safety laminated glass.
