When it first opened in 1940, "The Landmark" was considered a modern architectural achievement. Over the years, additions and structural changes created a disconnect between the building’s original character and the later upper volume added in 1980.
In 2020, a project began to meet contemporary performance requirements without compromising the architectural integrity of the original design. Using Pilkington Spacia™ allowed the building to keep its original stainless steel window frames while significantly improving energy performance.
The building re-opened in April 2023.
