Piedmont Advantage Credit Union

The Project

Piedmont Advantage Credit Union (PACU) is a non-profit financial institution that is member-owned. They serve members from in over 10 counties in North Carolina.

With Pilkington Low-e 4th Surface Technology, the PACU maximizes thermal efficiency with Pilkington Energy Advantage™ on the number 4 surface.  Pilkington Energy Advantage™ Low-e coatings applied to the #4 surfaces of an insulating unit reduces the center of glass U-factor by about 20%, compared to an IGU with a pyrolytic low-e and an uncoated clear lite. This proven technology improves thermal performance in a new or reglazed commercial building. PACU was able to provide enhanced clarity and increase the energy efficiency within the building. The Pilkington Energy Advantage™ low-e glass is one the most clear and durable low-e technologies today. Durability is critical for coatings applied to the 4th surface of an insulating unit. Pyrolytic coatings are extremely durable and difficult to damage. Pilkington pyrolytic coating technology has been used on exposed surfaces successfully for over 20 years globally.
